Letter from the President

Dear Corvette Enthusiast,

Club Corvette of Connecticut was established in 1993 by a small group of Corvette enthusiasts. Since those early days, the Club has grown into one of the largest Corvette clubs in the Northeast that has grown from the original 9 members to over 300 members today.

Club members need not own a Corvette. The common thread that unites us all is our passion for and enjoyment of America’s Sports Car, the Corvette. The generosity of our sponsors, Dave McDermott Auto Group of East Haven, Moroso Performance of Guilford, Town Fair Tire, headquartered in East Haven, Callaway Cars of Old Lyme and Temecula CA, and DaSilva’s Auto Body of Naugatuck CT, enable our club to host its annual Corvette Car Show and Swap Meet. The Show is our largest event of the year and, through the hard work of our members and sponsors, we are able to donate its proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House and other deserving charities.

The members of Club Corvette enjoy driving their Corvettes to a wide variety of events such as cruise nights at various local establishments, car cruises, detailing workshops, group dinners and especially the huge gathering of enthusiasts at Corvettes at Carlisle every August for four fun-filled days of Corvettes. The National Corvette Museum also hosts a huge gathering of Corvette Enthusiasts with a Caravan Cruise to Bowling Green KY every four years, an event heavily attended by Club Corvette members. Every December, our members also proudly participate in our annual “Korvettes for Kids Toy Run” that supports the Connecticut State Police effort to provide toys to children in Connecticut.

Our monthly news is published in the Vette Gazette which features highlights of club activities and pertinent Corvette information, a calendar of upcoming events throughout Connecticut and neighboring states as well as a classified section. Visit our website for an in-depth view of Club Corvette of Connecticut and an online membership application is available for those who would like to join in on the activities of our Club.

Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Parthenon Diner Restaurant, 374 E Main Street in Branford. Club Corvette of Connecticut invites you to join us and share in the activities and camaraderie that centers around America’s Sports Car.
